This is an experiment kit for super unidirectional audible speakers using ultrasonic waves. It is made up of plug-together assembled modules except for the transducer array which requires simple soldering.
The ultrasonic carrier wave is transmitted by 37 ultrasonic transducers and modulated at FM frequency.
It is completely different from the conventional speaker concept.
Ultrasonic waves travel in a straight line, so the sound is loudest in front of you and becomes inaudible when you are a little further away.
It has a character similar to light and reflects sound severely, so if you point it at a wall, you can hear the sound coming from the wall.
You can hear the voice in front of you from several tens of meters away.

The Items show Images of the ultrasonic speaker unit and driver board. It is powered by a 15V to 24V, approximately 2A DC power supply. The plug-in is standard 5.5mm, and the center pin is positive. You can use a DC adapter, as used in most laptops.

This speaker uses ultrasonic waves that allow you to enjoy extremely sharp directivity.

The sound quality is about that of a pocket radio, but it's pretty good for a parametric speaker.

It uses 37 x 40kHz transducers of 10mm diameter.

Because they use a special driver circuit, they have higher output than conventional parametric speakers.

It can reach about 20m to 30m in ideal conditions.

We recommend a power supply of about 19V, which can be used for a long time. It can be used up to 24V, but the radiator gets hot.

The 3.5mm audio jack is the input, and you can use a sound source that can play speakers, or the speaker output of a PC, laptop or our Special Large Animal repeller unit The output of smartphones such as iPhones is weak and cannot be used.
